How to set up tourist tax (Kurtaxe) in AVS Regions
Step-by-step guide to configure tourist tax rates (Kurtaxe) and reporting in AVS municipalities.
1. Set up Tax Authority
- Go to Tourist Tax → Tax Authorities.
- Add your AVS municipality.
- Enter the exact Mandant name and, if available, the Kurverwaltung-ID from your Webservice configuration PDF.
2. Add Tax Rates
- Choose whether the tax is charged per night or per day.
- Add all tax categories that you enabled in the Guest Registration configuration (e.g. adults, children).
- ⚠️ Enter the Category ID exactly as shown in your Webservice configuration PDF to ensure the calculation matches the authority’s rules.
3. Define Seasonality
- Flat Rate → if the tourist tax is the same all year.
- Repeating Seasons → if there are high/low season differences (e.g. higher tax in summer).
- Individual Seasons → if tax rates change from year to year (coming soon).
👉 Once set up, the correct tourist tax will be calculated automatically for each booking.
